Key #1: Get a grip on your DIET!
First, focus on your diet. This is nothing new. You know this. You know the right foods to eat, you know the wrong food to eat, but you still keep eating them!
So, ask yourself “why are you getting pleasure from the food that is destroying your fitness goals and keeping you unhappy with your results“?
Food plays a HUGE role in how you reward yourself or comfort yourself depending on your emotions. Find the reason, fix the cause, and fix your association with comfort food.
Next, you have to be ALL IN on making a choice of how happy you are with your current progress. If you’re not happy then cut the crap!
We all have control over what and how much we eat, but yet we use the excuses ALL the time that we don’t have time, we don’t have money to eat healthy, or we go out to eat all the time so I just can’t find good choices.
These are all are excuses from keeping you from achieving optimal health. You’ll be healthy when you stop making excuses and commit to honoring your body as a temple and not poisoning it with BAD foods!
Make sure you’re getting the right combination of foods so you feel stronger!

If there’s one thing I can tell you, it’s consistent. The people that I see more often in my Kansas City TRX gym, are making the BIGGEST changes to their fitness level the quickest!
When I see people coming in 1-2 times a week complaining that they just can’t seem to get up that early or make it a priority to come more than 2 times a week, those are the people who are not gaining results the quickest. They get discouraged and fall off track altogether.
When people say that other people are keeping them from coming that often or even doing something on their own at home, I ask, “So how these people are you supposed to be taken care of if you can’t provide for them if you can’t devote the time to take care of your own health?” You can’t pour from an empty cup people!
CONSISTENCY will pay off! It might be hard at first to devote 4-5 days a week to working out. You will be really sore. You will be tired, but I PROMISE you once you get over that hump you won’t look back for a second and say ” I regretted that!”

Key #3: Change your ATTITUDE!
Changing your diet and working out more isn’t going to be comfortable at first, but keep it positive. Do you go into your workouts saying, “Mark said this is going to be good for me, but I don’t feel good about this. This hurts, I can’t wait for this class to be over so I can get out of here!” (Sound familiar? LOL hopefully not!) Then you’re just going through the motions and probably not feeling successful at each workout.
You have to set your mind with the intention to GET BETTER EVERY TIME you step foot into the gym, into a class, into a personal training session, or even into your workout space at home. When you feel like giving up, use these tips to find mental workout motivation.
