The 3 keys to taking your fitness to the NEXT level!

As the New Year rolls in, most of us have made some sort of commitment to getting even the slightest bit healthier. While some of you want to take you fitness to the next level you just aren’t sure how to get there without feeling like you are killing yourself at every workout or feel like your spending ALL day in the gym!
Well I’m going to give you the 3 most effective keys to taking your health and fitness to the next level to make 2017 your BEST year for fitness and to continue that for years to come!Key #1: Get a grip on your DIET!
This is nothing new, you know this, you’ve know the right foods to eat, you’ve known the wrong food to eat, but you still keep eating them! First thing you have to ask your self is “why are you getting pleasure from the food that is destroying your goals and keeping you unhappy with your results? Food plays a HUGE role in how we reward ourselves or comfort ourselves depending on our emotions. Find the reason, fix the case, fix your association with comfort food.
Next you have to be ALL IN on making a choice of how happy you are with your current progress. If your not happy then cut the crap! We all have control over what and how much we eat, but yet we use the excuses ALL the time that we don’t have time, we don’t have money to eat healthy, or we go out to eat all the time so I just can’t find good choices. All are excuses from keeping you from achieving optimal health which you can have by stop making excuses and commit to honoring your body as a temple and not poisoning it with BAD foods!

Key #2: Commit to being CONSISTENT!
If there’s one thing I can tell you, is the people that I see more often in my gym are making the BIGGEST changes to their fitness level the quickest! When I see people coming in 1-2 times a week complaining that they just can’t seem to get up that early or make it a priority to come more than 2 times a week those are the people who are not gaining results the quickest, they get discouraged, and fall off track all together. Listen, I ask people all the time who say that other people are keeping them from coming that often or even doing something on their own at home,  “So how these people are suppose to be taking care of if you can’t provide for them if you can’t devote the time to take care of your own health?” You can’t pour from an empty cup people!
CONSISTENCY will pay off! It might be hard at first to devote 4-5 days a week to working out, you will be really sore, you will be tired, but I PROMISE you once you get over that hump you won’t look back for a second and say ” I regretted that!”

Key #3: Change your ATTITUDE!
Sure, changing your diet and working out more isn’t going to be comfortable at first, but if you come into each work saying “Mark said this is going to be good for me, but I don’t feel good about this, this hurts, I can’t wait for this class to be over so I can get out of here!” (Sound familiar? LOL hopefully not!) then your just going through the motions and probably not feeling successful at each workout.
You have to set your mind with the intention to GET BETTER EVERY TIME you step foot into the gym, into a class, into a personal training session, or even into your workout space at home. Changes start with the mind first! If you truly want to change your health and take your fitness to that next level change your attitude! Don’t be a victim, be the competitive athlete that’s not going to let self doubt and fear win! “THE BODY ACHIEVES WHAT THE MIND BELIEVES” ,that’s not just a saying that I like because it sounds cool, its probably one of the most truthful statements in fitness!
